In July 2016, a 12-month pilot study was initiated at the Invercannie Water Treatment Works in Scotland. This pilot included SIX®, ILCA®, and CeraMac®. The River Dee is typical for a lot of sources in Scotland, flashy and can contain significant high levels of color and suspended materials, which can challenge the existing treatment and cause the existing works to shut down. The pilot evaluated the reliability of these treatment processes on this challenging source, as well as confirmed the finished water quality. Test runs with coagulation showed an impressive stable membrane operation at sustainable flux.
