The opening ceremony of the first Perfector-R in Vietnam took place at October 7th in Cao Lanh, Dong Tap province. The ceremony was attended by many officials from central and local authorities. Special guest of honor was the Dutch Vice Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management Tineke Huizinga. Among the guests were many representatives from Vietnam water companies.
The Perfector-R installation is operated by DOWACO (Dong Tap Water Company), a daughter company of Dowaso, the local water supply company, and Water Fund Holland, daughter company of PWN (Water supply Company of North Holland) and 4 other Dutch water companies. The technology and design of the Perfector-R has been provided by PWN Technologies.
All guests were impressed by the compactness and the performance of the Perfector-R. The raw water turbidity, at date, was as high as 500 NTU. At such high turbidity many existing installations are known to suffer from capacity limitation and /or problems to meet quality goals. The Perfector-R operated well at a excellent chemical efficiency and delivered a final clear water turbidity of 0.1 NTU, well below the Vietnam turbidity guideline of 2 NTU.
Mr. Ngo Xuan Truong, director of HOWACO (representative of Water Fund Holland and PWN Technologies) declared that there is a vivid interest in the market for the Perfector technology. Many projects are in the pipe line, among which doubling the DOWACO Perfector-R installation.
