Pilot Engineer

Location: Amsterdam

Your purpose

At PWNT, our Pilot Engineers are responsible for directing, operating and supporting water and wastewater treatment pilots. The technologies we deploy in these pilots are ceramic membrane filtration, ion exchange, coagulation, and ozone oxidation. The pilots, containers equipped with any of these water technologies, are shipped to international locations for subsequent testing.

As a Pilot Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple pilot projects and are the first point of contact for customers. Basic technical knowledge of water treatment processes is desired in this regard. You will be based in Amsterdam to support the pilots, while also traveling to site about 15% of the time for hands-on pilot support.

What will you be doing? We have listed it for you:

  • Site work during commissioning, site acceptance tests (SAT), training for local operations.
  • Troubleshooting throughout pilot to rectify operational issues.
  • Data acquisition and processing, as well as data storage management.
  • Optimize plan forward for your customer/pilot, together with your PWNT team members.
  • Assistance with conference calls, reporting, slide preparation, and final report.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Bachelor/ Master degree in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (a basic engineering knowledge of water treatment processes) and objectives.
  • Hands-on skills for the lab and pilot.
  • Able to analyze data and collaborate with a team of internals and externals.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills in English, additional languages (Dutch, etc.) are a bonus.
  • Preferable to have 1 – 2 years of work experience.
  • Flexibility & willingness to travel abroad.

  • The salary is between € 3.000/ € 4.700 per month, depending on your professional experience.
